King Abdullah II and Queen Rania on Facebook.com
Facebook.com currently has around 28,000 (and growing) users with Jordan selected as thier “network.”
I recall when Facebook first opened up to students at UC Berkeley, profiles of world leaders were one of the first things created.
As users become more savvy, we’ll be seeing more things like this.

Though unlike politicians or celebrities in the United States that manage real profiles on Facebook and MySpace (in large part for campaigning and marketing, respectively), I don’t think we’ll be seeing this anytime soon in the Middle East. I somehow can’t imagine leaders in this part of the world soliciting feedback via their “walls.” Nancy Arjam, Haifa Wehbe, Amr Diab, and company would however benefit from such an online presence.
